AARP Nursing Home Dashboard
Nursing homes have been an epicenter of COVID-19 in the U.S., with more than 84,000 deaths among residents and staff. AARP has been fighting for needed resources and transparency about the crisis in nursing homes, and recently introduced the AARP Nursing Home COVID-19 Dashboard. The dashboard tracks five areas of critical concern at the national and state levels, and is updated every four weeks with the latest data.
Speaker: Susan Reinhard, PhD, RN, FAAN, FGSA, Senior Vice President & Executive Director, AARP Public Policy Institute

A GCBH expert will share new research and evidence on how music influences brain health. Experts concluded that listening and making music holds significant potential to support brain health as people age.

Equity & Aging: The Story of Human Longevity: “How Growing Geographic and Racial Disparities Inhibit the Ability to Live Longer & Healthier Lives”
This new study demonstrates that where you live can determine how you age — even at mid-life. An analysis of life expectancy at age 50 found significant geographic disparities — and the gap between the best and worst performing locations is widening over time.
